Adjunto hay un cfp para dos congresos interesantes y un recordatorio del concurso de ensayos de estudiantes (fecha de entrega final: 30 noviembre)

1. VI SIMPOSIO INTERNACIONAL SOBRE IDEOLOGÍA, POLÍTICA Y REIVINDICACIONES EN LENGUA, LITERATURA Y CINE EN ESPAÑOL/ITALIANO.
Del 26 al 28 de junio de 2019 (y parte online), Università degli Studi di Palermo (Italia).
Tema central: "Discursos al margen. Voces olvidadas".

Aceptamos comunicaciones y posters, presenciales u online sobre el tema central y los indicados en la web.en inglés, italiano o español.
(Estamos aun terminando un libro sobre "identidad" que corresponde al simposio anterior, si alguien quiere aportar algo para ese).

2. CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL: VENUS A TRAVÉS DEL ESPEJO: EROTISMO Y CREACIÓN EN EL MUNDO HISPÁNICO (LITERATURA, CINE, COMIC Y ARTES PLÁSTICAS).
Universidad de Valladolid, 8-11 mayo 2019.

Fechas importantes:
• Envío de propuestas: del 15 de noviembre de 2018 al 15 de febrero de 2019.
• Comunicación de aceptación de propuestas: antes del 25 de febrero de 2019.
• Inscripción de participantes: de 25 de febrero al 15 de marzo de 2019.
• Envío de comunicaciones (vídeo) para las participaciones virtuales: del 15 de marzo al 15 de abril de 2019.

Envío de propuestas:
Quienes deseen participar en el congreso deberán enviar por correo electrónico, en un único documento adjunto, un resumen de la propuesta de comunicación, de 200 palabras incluyendo el título, y un breve curriculum vitae (donde consten también los datos personales, la afiliación institucional y la intención de participar en el congreso de forma presencial o virtual), a las siguientes direcciones de correo electrónico:

3. 16TH ANNUAL FEMINISTAS UNIDAS ESSAY PRIZE COMPETITION FOR GRADUATE
STUDENTS
The Executive Committee of Feministas Unidas Inc., an allied
organization of the MLA, is pleased to announce a call for papers for the 16th Annual Feministas Unidas Essay Prize competition for graduate students. This Prize is awarded for an outstanding unpublished essay on feminist scholarship on women in the field of literature, the arts, filmmaking, Transatlantic studies or cultural studies in the areas covered by our organization's mission:
Spanish, Spanish-American, Luso-Brazilian, Afro-Latin American, and
U.S. Hispanic Studies.

The purpose of the essay prize is to promote feminist scholarship by
those who are entering our profession and are currently graduate students. The prize
is the product of collaboration between Feministas Unidas and the Association of Gender and Sexuality Studies (AEGS). The selection committee is drawn from officers and members of Feministas Unidas and the editorial board of Letras Femeninas (soon to be Revista de Estudios de Género y Sexualidad). Feministas Unidas reserves the right not to award the prize in a given year.
Award: $300 and publication of the essay in the the journal Letras
Femeninas. The author of the winning essay must be a member of AEGS at the time of publication of the essay.
Winning essay will receive corresponding editorial comments from
competition readers as well as from the editors of Letras Femeninas. Essays will be published one year after acceptance.

Eligibility: Graduate students who are current or new members of
Feministas Unidas are eligible to submit their original research for the prize.
Guidelines:
1. An unpublished paper
2. Length: 18-25 pages, double-spaced, including notes and works cited
3. Format: MLA style. Prepare the manuscript according to instructions
for Anonymous Submission
4. Languages: Spanish or English
5. Deadline for submission: November 30, 2018

Submit all materials by e-mail attachment.
Please submit essays without names and add a cover page with the title
of your work, your name and institutional affiliation. This will help us ensure
